Richard Sharpe's email address is (or at least used to be)
[log in to unmask] But if Otfried really is unfamiliar with the standard
sources in this area (a great unlikelihood, as those of us know who've been
reading his postings), perhaps he hasn't yet tried looking up Donatus in the
BHL (Bibliotheca hagiographica latina) and its supplements. Assuming this
is a Latin vita, it ought to be listed there--and if it's ever been
published, there's a high probability of finding the bibliographical
information on that too, since the most recent supplement (with decades
worth of updates) was published fairly recently.
Or--alternatively--Otfried might try addressing the Bollandists directly, by
sending his query to their new electronic discussion list, [log in to unmask]
(I don't have the exact address for that at hand, but can supply it--or
George can!)
And good luck.
