The Council for Learning Outside the Classroom has convened and is helping facilitate a consortium of the main bodies involved in supporting learning outside the classroom. They have come together with a plan to support schools, when they are ready, to re-open by taking their learning beyond the classroom. The joint statement (linked below) was released to government Ministers last Friday.

As members of the CLOtC Sector Partnership, we were involved in agreeing this statement. We are committed to not adding to the rain of requirements and offers being sent to schools. Rather, we have come together to offer a more coherent signposting to the wide range of high-quality support and resources that are available now to help schools refresh their curriculum through learning outside the classroom. With that commitment in place, we are now working on some simple steps to help make that work in practice.
Meanwhile, we have an overarching communications plan and are tracking engagement with ministers and key influencers. So, if you plan to share the statement with your own key influencers (MPs, civil servants, celebrities etc) please let [log in to unmask] know who you have/or plan to share it with, so we can keep a record of who has been approached/contacted.
