Hi everyone,
I am interested in finding out what other organisations do with regard to maintaining a sustainable approach to outreach and community engagement services, in particular what do you charge for and what you have found different audiences are prepared to pay (i.e. for providing for activities linked to museum collections for example artefact handling sessions and doing other museum collection based activity and engagement). Additionally what type of pricing structure do you have that keep and maintains a balance between targeting priority communities whilst making enough income from those who can afford it.
I do hope you will be prepared to offer some advice or suggestions of best practice and I will of course share all the replies in due course.
By the way, for a bit more background about me, I am currently working as the Outreach and Engagement Officer for the Army Flying Museum’s National Lottery Funded Project ‘Project Eagle’ so would be keen to hear from anyone who have done or doing similar things or would have any advice.
Many Thanks
Daniel Ball
Outreach and Engagement Officer
