Dear all,
I am curious, thus interested in finding out how PhD research is going especially for those doing fieldwork (e.g. face-to-face interviews, user centered practices etc. ) and how research is being implicated by isolation.
My PhD research is with older persons who have to self isolate until further notice and in Germany gatherings of more than 2 persons is banned thus my research seems on hold now.
I also teach a practical course to Bachelor Computer Science students where we go through gathering user needs using interviews and ending up in co-design workshops with users for design concepts.
This is not possible in its current state as an online course, as we start our Summer Semester mid-April and are directed to develop our courses into online courses.
I am interested in also knowing how such practical design courses that revolve around persons can be
augmented into online courses.
Thanks for sharing your experiences, challenges, frustrations and ideas.
With warm regards
