Hi all,
The Self-led Schools Network are having our next meeting tomorrow (Thursday 13th) 3.30-5.00pm at my new home, the "secret" spectacular Anatomy Museum at the Royal Veterinary College: enjoy skeletons from polar bears to famous race horses, plastinated specimens from surprising animals all over the world, and so many things you can touch... We'll be discussing how to manage self-led school groups well when it comes to handling objects - whether they be intended for it (e.g. a Handling Collection) or not (open display!)
If you'd like to attend, or be added to the Network's mailing list for future events, then please get in touch with me on [log in to unmask] We meet about once a term at a different museum site, to discuss a topic relating to self-led schools: previous meetings have discussed operations, communications, and collaboration between Learning and Visitor Experience teams (we usually have staff from both attending).
Look forward to seeing many of you tomorrow,
Best wishes,
Kate Oliver
