Hi Lynne
I would recommend looking at the NLHF funded Kick the Dust programmes which are all looking at how to engage young people in new and innovative ways but particularly that involve cultural changes for the organisations. Norfolk Museums Service is working across the their museums to deliver tiered opportunities for young people from workshops, projects to board level. British Council are working with Manchester Museum and Glasgow Life to engage with South Asian young people in the redevelopment of the museum and deliver of programmes. Soho House in Birmingham are also working with their local community to reinterpret the museum.
National Maritime Museum's new Endeavour Galleries resulted in new ways of the museum working and impacting on their internal processes.
Hackney Museum are always finding new ways of working with their communities.
If you want introductions to any of these projects do let me know.
Best wishes
Claire

Subject: Community engagement
Hello
I’m looking for some examples of museums who have created new community engagement and outreach programmes, particularly involving innovative or new ways of working internally as well as with the audiences themselves.
Thanks
