The relevance of sporting heritage
14th & 15th November 2018
Join us for the sporting heritage event of the year!
Based at the historic and inspirational Merseyside Maritime Museum at Liverpool’s Albert Dock, this year’s conference has a focus on celebrating and sharing the impact of sporting heritage and the stories it tells, how to engage greater support for the sector going forward, and how to support grassroots collections care and access.
You can see the full programme and book a space by visiting this link: https://www.sportingheritage.org.uk/content/news/sporting-heritage-conference-2018/2018-conference-booking. There's still time to book, but places are filling up quickly now.

An increased knowledge and understanding of the role and value of sporting heritage

Practical advice and guidance on looking after, using, and researching sporting heritage
An understanding of how to better look after sporting heritage collections

Keynote speakers will include policy makers and funding representatives.
The second half of Day 2 will focus on how to engage greater research activity within the sector, focusing on the support available for those outside of academia in understanding research opportunities.
