Surely the best person to ask is other Father Christmases rather than DBS. After all "He's making a list and he's checking it twice. He knows if you've been naughty or nice."
I don't have anything useful to add for this but please offer presents just for kids not "girls or boys." I does my nut in & my kids frequently want the other gender's option.

Hi,
Be wary of assuming you can DBS check Father Christmas! Only people with regular and unsupervised contact with the same group of children are eligible for checks. Share Museums East have a good resource on this.
http://www.sharemuseumseast.org.uk/resources/safeguarding-for-museums-dbs/
If children are always supervised by their parent/carer/responsible adult and are never alone with Father Christmas then he fails the unsupervised criteria and as he is unlikely to be regularly meeting the same group of children (once a year on Christmas Eve doesn't count as regular according to the DBS criteria!) then you can't ask for a check.
Best wishes
Pippa
