Hi,
Be wary of assuming you can DBS check Father Christmas! Only people with regular and unsupervised contact with the same group of children are eligible for checks. Share Museums East have a good resource on this.
http://www.sharemuseumseast.org.uk/resources/safeguarding-for-museums-dbs/
If children are always supervised by their parent/carer/responsible adult and are never alone with Father Christmas then he fails the unsupervised criteria and as he is unlikely to be regularly meeting the same group of children (once a year on Christmas Eve doesn't count as regular according to the DBS criteria!) then you can't ask for a check.
Best wishes
Pippa
