Dear all,
As part of this year's National Sporting Heritage Day celebrations, and through our project with AMOT: The Army Museums Network, we have created an online exhibition sharing and celebrating the heroes and heroines of WW1. The exhibition aims to draw together stories which bring to life sporting individuals, their endeavors, and shares their narratives, role, and impact widely and in the long-term.
But now it's over to you! We'd love the exhibition to be jointly curated by as many organisations and individuals as possible to truly reflect the breadth and value of these heroes and heroines. If you would like to share and celebrate a sportsman or woman from WW1 from your collections, locality, or from personal knowledge, please visit https://exhibitions.armymuseums.org.uk/heroes-heroines/ and click "Get Involved".
For more information about the project and the work of Sporting Heritage, a subject specialist network and sector support organisation, please visit our website at https://www.sportingheritage.org.uk/content/category/news/sporting-heritage-and-the-armed-forces.
Thanks!
Justine
