Hi Zoe,
Sadly I can't find your original email but we have been exploring interpretation for families in exhibitions at the British Museum for about 2-3 years. We are in the process of writing family labels for our upcoming exhibition in October - Ashurbanipal and family labels are going into our new permanent Islamic world gallery in November - this is the first time we have ever put such interpretation in a permanent gallery space I believe. I am more than happy to talk to you about the process we use here at the BM. There is also a piece about it on our BM blog: https://blog.britishmuseum.org/exhibitions-fun-for-all-the-family/
Warmest wishes,
Melany

Zoe,
At Museum Study we have a 4 week online course on co-curation taught by
Saul Sopoci Drake who has been doing this for years with a number of
organizations. One of our former participants is using it now with
college students. The next running of the course is very soon, August
20. You can find more information on our website and feel free to
contact me with any questions.
