Good afternoon,
I work for AGCAS - the professional body for careers and employability professionals working with higher education students and graduates and prospective entrants to higher education. As part of our remit, we write and edit a range of careers publications that are used by HE careers staff on a daily basis in their work with students and graduates.
We are currently updating our Museum Education Officer career profile, and as part of the update we're looking to source up to three case studies from recent graduates (within five years of graduation if possible) working as museum education officers.
The aim of the case studies is to provide a personal insight into the profession and to find out how you got your job, how your degree was relevant, what you do on a daily basis, what you like about the job, the challenges, how your role has developed and what your tips are for others wanting to become museum education officers. Case studies are a maximum of 500 words and we can include your name (or pseudonym if you prefer) and a photo (if you wish).
As mentioned, the case studies are used by our members on a daily basis in their work with students and graduates and are available to a wider audience via the Prospects website at: https://www.prospects.ac.uk/job-profiles/museum-education-officer (text currently being updated).
If you would be able to provide a case study to accompany the AGCAS Museum Education Officer career profile, please contact me ([log in to unmask]) and I will forward you the case study template to fill in. It should only take a few minutes to complete.
I look forward to hearing from you.
With many thanks
Sarah Nichols
