We had a school visit today from a Primary school in Essex who were going to travel on the Central Line but after the Parsons Green incident the teacher organising the visit had been instructed to book a coach. This brought the cost up to £22 per child. Fortunately, they didn't cancel their booking.
Kind regards

Subject: Re: School bookings this term
We have actually had more bookings than ever- having to turn schools away this term.
We have had a few new schools come along but mainly they are regulars that are bringing more than one year group and I get the impression they may have gone further afield before, but like the small contained environment we have (out of London).
My daughters school had to cancel their first planned trip to London as the day after an attack- when they did rearrange only half the class went as the parents refused to sign permission forms. So it doesn't surprise me if numbers are down as the schools won't be able to fund it if only half the class go and pay.

There's a few potential reasons e.g. terrorism concerns continuing, we're starting our second year of a gallery being closed, and school budgets decreasing - but we're not getting a clear sense from teachers which of these/other reasons it is. Always tricky as you can't ask those who aren't calling!
