Dear all
Please read this call to action and respond as required. I am but the messenger on this one so please follow instructions below rather than emailing me. Let's show the adult learning sector just how much is going on in the museum sector. Let not one adult learning stone remain unturned...
CALL FOR CONTENT: Museums, Galleries and Adult Learning
EPALE, the ePlatform for Adult Learning in Europe, focuses on Museums and Galleries as locations for adult learning during the month of August. We are looking for opinion pieces (blog posts), case studies, resources and events that focus on one or more of the following aspects:
- Museums/ galleries as locations for adult learning
- Engaging the local community in museums/ galleries
- Supporting volunteering in museums/ galleries
- Work-place learning in museums/ galleries
- Museums/ galleries supporting basic skills teaching and learning
We plan a focused week (21st-25th August) where all the materials will be published on the platform with a dedicated landing page celebrating and highlighting activities and best practices from across the UK. Further, we plan to collate all the articles and contributions into an eBook to provide a varied collection of the great work museums and galleries are doing within the various areas.
Blog posts and case studies should be no more than 1,000 words and we recommend images, including organisation/institution logos, and a brief biography of the author with web links/contact details.
EPALE is a pan-European platform with over 27,000 users and we have already express interest from our colleagues from across Europe who are keen to learn more from the UK and exchange their thoughts and ideas.
Contact us at [log in to unmask] with the subject line: “Museums and galleries” with your case studies and contributions by 18th August to be featured on the pan-European landing page.
