Hi Essex and all
It would be helpful if people could reply directly to Essex, not to all 1600+ of us on the list, and maybe Essex could share the replies to the whole list in a few days
So there are two questions:
1. Are you interested in receiving podcasting training?
2. Links to examples of museum podcasts.

PS I used to run podcasting training regularly, but I haven't sensed much demand in recent years. That's not to say it isn’t a good thing to do, but it is best considered in the mix with other social media and online /offline activity. Assessing likely take up from potential listeners would be the issue.
It can be viewed as a low cost option, but it does involve a bit of training and/or by learning by doing, plus equipment purchase, with perhaps small hosting/platform costs depending on how you share them, and of course going forward, taking the time to research, record, edit, disseminate and evaluate the impact of the episodes.
I'm a big fan of podcasts personally, but I think it may also be worth considering vodcasting, either actual video, or just a series of relevant images over the top of the audio tracks, as a lot of people seem to like to have their eyes entertained as well as their eyes.
Hope that's helpful

Hi All
Just a bit of informal market research, if that's ok with you lot?
Would you be interested in receiving training in podcasting (why do it? how to do it? how to create a social media mix?).
Apologies if others are already delivering. I have recently worked with an experienced podcaster and can see huge potential for this in the cultural sector.
I'd welcome being pointed in the direction of existing museum podcasts...
