Hi Rosie
Just to add to the conversation on cost/benefit analysis, we do a lot of work on measuring social value in the cultural sector at MB Associates, with a focus on health and wellbeing. You may find inspiration from some of our work, and some free tools we have developed. We were the lead evaluator on the Happy Museum project and developed a number of tools including the LIFE survey, which is free to use and measures wellbeing specifically from the museum perspective (learning, interaction, feelings and environment). Along with a range of other tools, this is available on the Happy Museum website: http://happymuseumproject.org/resources/life-survey/
We are cultural sector SROI specialists (Social Return On Investment). A relevant example to you is our mental health SROI for the Transported project as part of Creative People and Places, which uses WEMWBS and SROI together. This is not yet publicly available, but you can have a look at the SROI we did for the Museum of East Anglian Life here: http://bit.ly/2kq3U4q
Best of luck with it!
Louise
