Dear All
I am working with a small local history museum. It has just one paid member of staff, who is part-time. The rest of the work is done by a large team of volunteers. At the moment if a school rings up a message is taken if the staff member isn't there. Bookings are written into a diary and that's about it...
I would be really grateful to hear from similar sized museums (either the one man band type or those run completely by volunteers etc) to see how they do their bookings.
Do you have a pro forma booking form? What written confirmation do you provide? What materials do you have on your website? What procedures have you put in place to avoid double bookings and ensure the relevant people are briefed?
All tips and advice gratefully received!
Many thanks
Liz
