Eden Rivers Trust is looking for a Learning Coordinator to join their busy, small team in Penrith, Cumbria.
As the only charity dedicated to making the River Eden a better place for people and wildlife, our learning programme is crucial in promoting understanding of our work and the rivers we care for.
After years of steady growth, we are now seeking a highly-motivated individual to help drive the learning programme forward. As Learning Coordinator, you will develop and deliver sessions that bring the river to life - deepening understanding of how rivers work and the wildlife and the natural environment of this part of Cumbria.
It’s a role that is as diverse as the landscape and rivers of the Eden Valley. Working across the catchment – from Kirkby Stephen to Carlisle, you’ll work with children and young people aged 3-18 in both formal and informal learning settings. This role is supported by The Heritage Lottery Fund.
With a minimum of 3 years’ experience in an education or community learning setting, as well as the ability to engage children and young people effortlessly, you’ll have the flair to develop and deliver exciting and innovative activities and sessions that will deepen their understanding of how rivers work, and encourage them to value Eden’s rivers. You will be confident and comfortable with leading groups in the classroom as well as in the river.
Ideally, we are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible to ensure continuity of programme delivery for the new academic year.
