Dear Colleagues,
Would you like to share in the collective insight around supporting self-directed learners in our institutions.
The following short survey has been extended until mid-May and the reporting deadline on its results have been brought forward to late June.
https://bpplandt.onlinesurveys.ac.uk/adult-self-directed-learning-in-heritage
The research explores the motivations of educational policy and practice in museums, galleries and heritage venues with regard to the adult ‘self-directed’ visitor. It seeks to identify the differentiated opportunities to participate in guided activities, the status of the adult visitors as ’self-directed’ learners, and the support for their learning engagement.
This questionnaire will provide an important foundation for further research using an adapted design research methodology. The intention is to further explore the value of a higher education design process to support self-directed learners visiting our heritage institutions
Depending on how much detail you choose to share the questionnaire could take as little as 7-10 minutes of your time.
Please feel free to forward this post to any interested parties
With many thanks in advance for your participation.
