Hello Liselotte,
Unless your interest is historical I think you might consider some more recent sources.
Two "basic" texts:
Klevezal GA. 1996. Recording Structures of Mammals. Rotterdam/Brookfield: A.A. Balkema. 274 p.
MacFadden B, J., editor. 2004. Incremental Growth in Vertebrate Skeletal Tissues: Paleobiological and Paleoenvironmental Implications.: Elsevier.
An essential "wake-up call" re: intra-population variation:
Lubinski PM, O'Brien, C. J. 2001. Observations on Seasonality and Mortality from a Recent Catastrophic Death Assemblage. J Archaeol Sci 28(8):833-842.
Another on diagenesis:
Stutz AJ. 2002. Polarizing Microscopy Identification of Chemical Diagenesis in Archaeological Cementum. J Archaeol Sci 29(11):1327-1347.
And here are a few few species-specific suggestions (only mammals) some of which have good descriptions of methods:
Pike-Tay A, and Cosgrove R. From Reindeer to Wallaby: Recovering Patterns of Seasonality, Mobility, and Prey Selection in the Palaeolithic Old World. J Archaeol Method Theory 9(2):101-146.
And I'm including one of my own publications because it describes several methods (but I'm sure there are more recent papers "out there")
Burke A, and Castanet J. 1995. Histological Observations of Cementum Growth in Horse Teeth and their Application to Archaeology. J Archaeol Sci 22:479-493.
Its been a while since I've updated this (since 2003 roughly) I'm afraid.
Best of luck

Subject: [ZOOARCH] Looking for BAR 390 by Bryan Gordon
Dear list members,
For my current project I'm trying to get a copy of the chapter on "Tooth analysis for determing site seasonality", starting on page 19(?)
in a book by Bryan Gordon (1988): Of men and reindeer herds in French Magdalenian prehistory, BAR 390, Oxford. Unfortunately, the library in Bergen doesn't have a copy. I have already contacted Bryan directly, and he couldn't help me with this. Is there anybody out there who is willing to make a pdf of that chapter?
Thank you in advance,
Liselotte Takken
