Lena, the only one of your interesting photos that I can speak to is the
jaw articulation. This type of remodelling is frequently the consequence
of the animal developing dental malocclusions, i.e. "shark mouth" where
the plane of the tables of the teeth goes up and down V M V M, and/or
where cheek teeth have been lost through trauma or senescence. Cheers --
