Dear Gemmers
I am really pleased to have been working with Digital and People, and Rhubarb
Communications and Content, on putting together this one-day training conference
in Cardiff.
Delegates will learn how to use a variety of digital platforms to improve their
management of tasks and also enable them to use a blended approach to the use of
digital platforms for communications (internally and externally).
The Eventbrite booking link, and full details of the event, can be found at
www.digitalandpeople.co.uk
This is NOT just a social media training day.
I am really keen to get attendees from the museum sector as I think this day
will help you be more efficient and gain a higher impact for your efforts re
planning/comms.
This is NOT just a talking shop.
Delegates will be hands-on through the day (e.g. in live blogging) and will
return home with their own draft action plan on how to use digital platforms to
enhance their work. You lot have busy lives. The practical nature of this day is
important to me.
The conference is not aimed specifically at the museum sector. It is marketed as
for "senior managers" of services. This is true, but it would also suit anyone
whose job it is to coordinate communications and/or planning across a museum
service.
I do hope the museum sector will become involved in this. There's an "early
bird" fee of £120 so put down that worm and get booking...
(Members of the Welsh Federation of Museums and Galleries are eligible for a
training grant if they need one. Please contact John Marjoram for details (of
the grant only) [log in to unmask] other Federations in the UK might have
similar arrangements)
Oh and please do share this email widely within your museum/organisation.
Thanks!
Essex Havard
