Hello,
As some of you may know, we're in the process of rebuilding the National Army Museum (we open in November!) and as part of that, a 'learning-through-play' gallery for younger visitors and their families.
We're exploring the possibility of using the gallery to support before- and after-school care, either by actually running a service, or by partnering with schools to provide clubs. We're at the earliest stages of considering whether its feasible.
It would be enormously helpful to know if anyone has undertaken anything like this already, and any lessons learned: we've looked at Eureka! in Halifax and some of the work done buy the Museum of Reading, but that's as much as we've found using basic desk research.
I will of course collate and share responses with the list.
Kind regards,
Tristan
