Hello all Gemmers,
At the Framework Knitters Museum in Nottinghamshire, we're developing
our school visits, with particular emphasis on citizenship (connections
with the Luddites) and social history, as well as textiles. We're
working on Years 1 to 3 (or even 4), as we already have a very
successful film for older children, which asks them to make moral
choices in the character of a young framework knitter at the time of the
Luddites. One idea is to use puppets. Has anyone any experience of
developing school visits using puppets? Or any other ideas for
developing our particular themes?
Looking forward to hearing from you!
All good wishes,
Deb Martin
