Hi Gemmers -

I'm writing a news analysis for Museums Journal looking at partnership working between universities and museums (but not university museums) across the UK - I'm talking to National Galleries Scotland about their recently announced partnership with the University of Edinburgh but I'd be interested to hear of any other current or recent-past examples. Please email me off-list [log in to unmask]

Thank you!

Subject: Group for Education in Museums Scotland AGM and Audience showcase

Appologies for cross posting

Good Morning,

We would like to invite you to the Group for Education in Museums (Scotland) AGM and Networking day on the 28th of April at the National Museums of Scotland from 10:30 to 4:00. The AGM will run from 11:00 to 12:00 and the rest of the day will consist of an Audience showcase with presentations from Aberdeen University Museums, the National Trust for Scotland and the Black Watch Regimental Museum. We will be exploring work with different audiences and showcasing some fantastic projects.

Sadly this will be Sarah Cowie's last AGM as Co convener and we are looking for another person to join the team. We are specifically looking for a Treasurer and if you are interested please send a statement of intent of 100 words that will be circulated to members in advance on the Agm. The vote will occur at the AGM, and those people interested in the post are asked to attend. If you would like more information please contact Adam Love-Rodgers, Sarah Cowie or Myself.

Please find attached an Agenda for the AGM, An agenda for the Audience Showcase as well as minutes from last year's AGM

If you are interested in attending please contact me.

Subject: Learning Centre Business Case- would anyone be willing to share an example?

Dear GEMers

I'm starting to put together a Business Case for our new learning centre here at Knole. The new learning centre will be used for adult education (workshops and courses), family and community activities etc. and its financial aim is to at least break even.

I'm just wondering if anyone has put together anything similar for their site and would be willing to share? I'd be very grateful.

With many thanks in advance!
