Greetings colleagues,
We have used 75g glucose powder (from Dr Reddy's Laboratories) made up to 200 mL of water for our GTTs. We have recently encountered major problems with this source (supply issues plus huge jump in price) and are currently looking at an alternative source - a specific product for oGTT called Rapilose OGTT Solution , available from Galen Pharmaceuticals.
I would be grateful for any feedback on either of two issues:
1. Has anyone experience of using this product?
2. If changing glucose load for GTT how do labs evaluate this as you cannot get a patient to do two GTTs to test each glucose source?
Thank you in anticipation.
best wishes.
Peadar
