Dear All,
I am just emailing with details of our next GEM Yorkshire & Humberside Study Visit, to be held jointly with DLNet (the Digital Learning network) at the National Coal Mining Museum for England near Wakefield on Friday 17 October, and organised jointly with Stuart Berry (now at the Galleries of Justice). This event looks at how museums can use digital technologies, particularly when working with schools.
A rough outline of the day is provided below, subject to slight change. Again this event is a bargain at just £10 for GEM members, and £20 for non-members.

Other news
As you may know, Sue Davies has recently left her post at Leeds and is stepping down from her role with GEM as she is moving out of the region.
We would like to say a huge thank you to her for her hard work with us as a regional convenor this year, and we wish her all the best with her exciting new ventures.
Please look out for details of two vacancies for regional convenors (secretary and treasurer) for GEM Yorkshire & Humberside which will be in next week's GEM eNews bulletin.
And finally, a date for your diaries is Thursday 4 December when we will be holding our Christmas event, probably in Leeds, but details will be confirmed soon.
We look forward to welcoming you on 17 October.
Best wishes,
Jael and Alex
