Good morning everyone,
Palace Green Library, Durham will be hosting a Study Day on the 9th June focusing on researching and using Japanese collections.
We are extremely honoured to have three senior members of staff from the National Museum of Japanese History attending the day to speak about their fields of interest and how UK museums can make links with museums and researchers in Japan. Other speakers will include staff from a range of museums and other organisations in the North of England who are working with Japanese collections.
The study day will be of interest to curators and collections staff as well as members of learning and engagement teams, academics and researchers who have an interest in Japanese culture. The day will provide opportunity not only for learning but for the exchange of ideas, increased awareness of collection links and of collection material available for consulting and research.
Full details of the programme and how to book a place can be found here https://www.dur.ac.uk/conference.booking/details/?id=348
Hope to see some of you there!
