I've just been researching literacy in museums.
There are quite a lot of reports out there from previous literacy
projects in museums. For example, search for the MAGPIE project in
Manchester museums or the Exploring Literacy through Museums &
Galleries, Gateshead. As you're mostly after ideas for activities,
have a look at these resource - lots of ideas for poetry with objects.
