Thanks, John! That's a great parallel. Since the Louvre effigy is
Limoges, I figured it couldn't be the only one. Given the example with
surviving enamel, I see that there must have been similar enamel on
Blanche's pillow.
What caught my interest with Blanche was both the medium and the damage
that allows the work's construction to be seen. I'm actually quite proud
of the photos-- the reflections on the glass case are ferocious.
