Dear All,
The British Science Association has recently commissioned the cultural research agency &Co to undertake a study into how best to attract underrepresented groups to take part in National Science & Engineering Week (www.nsew.org.uk).
The study kicks off with a review of existing research that addresses the issue of underrepresented engagement in STEM. To help us with this task we are particularly keen to gather relevant information from those involved in science engagement and communications – whether this is in report form or personal insight.
So if you can point us towards a report that you think will help inform our work, or if you have commissioned a study that can be shared, or indeed have your own thoughts on the subject then please do not hesitate to email us. We are also particularly interested to hear from those organisations or individuals who have successfully engaged with underrepresented groups using STEM through outreach work.
In return for your involvement we plan to share the contributions we have collected either in digest form, and/or as a listing of sources that we plan to publish early next year.
We are keen to gather as much information as we can before the Christmas break, so if you have something to add please contact us before Monday 23rd December.
You can contact me via [log in to unmask] or on 07746298045.
Many thanks,
Shaun Romain (&Co Cultural Marketing - www.andco.uk.com)
