Hello,
Dove Cottage and the Wordsworth Museum is considering offering free admission to under 16s for the first time. Naturally, there are concerns about reduction in income and I was wondering if other museums had made the transition from admission charges for children to free admission in recent years. If so, did you notice a decrease in income (from all visitors), or did adult admissions increase once 16s were free? For those museums who do charge admission for children, do you offer a free/reduced price scheme (e.g. for local visitors)?
Any information, figures or examples about moving from charged to free admission would be hugely useful!
With best wishes,
Esther
