Hi Chuck,
Reference management software provides a user-friendly way to store
references and make them easy to use when writing. It saves huge amounts of
time. Using a reference manager such as Endnote can reduce the time of a
PhD by several months, reduce the time for writing a book by weeks and a
paper by several hours.
Rather than entering references directly into a paper or thesis, you enter
their details into the reference manager database - including notes on them
and pointers to the documents themselves. The you use the reference manager
to insert the references into Word documents or make bibliographic lists
automatically. After lots of tests, I found Endnote reference manager is
easiest and saves most time.
The time saving of using a reference manager occurs in three ways: 1)
references can be imported directly from library searches; 2) To enter a
reference from Endnote into a Word document simply select and insert it.
The software automatically formats the citation and the reference and
reference list to whatever format you choose. Changing the format is
effortless and automatic; 3) Endnote reference libraries can be shared
between researchers and are automatically passed on with the Word documents.
Hence me asking whether you had created your bibliography in Endnote!
Best wishes,
Terry

Terry,
I have no idea what either of them are? Can you cue me in?
Thanks,
Chuck
