Dear All,
I am currently undertaking a preliminary survey for my PhD research at the School of Museum Studies, University of Leicester, about museums using objects in their practice to engage people's senses and imaginations. I would be really grateful if members of the GEM list could participate in this. I am interested in hearing both from those organisations that DO use objects in their work (either accessioned, non-accessioned, artist-made, replicas etc.), but equally, I am interested in finding out from those of you who DON'T do this sort of work as well.
The link to the survey is here: http://www2.le.ac.uk/departments/museumstudies/forms/awphd/what-do-objects-do-material-approaches-to-art-museum-interpretation and there is also an option to share it on Twitter as well - so please do feel free to circulate further.
Thank you very much for your help - and I look forward to being able to share the findings with you eventually as well.
Best wishes,
Alex
