I've looked at the area of design for playful location-dependent interactive
experiences primarily from the standpoint of how these experiences in public
places can create an alternative to consumer-driven spaces (where all design
is focused on channeling consumers to purchases). Critics argue that there
is potential for these types of public experiences to lessen the need for
"positional consumption," in which people obtain consumer goods to signal
social position. It sounds as though your pursuit is more agnostic about the
end goal. A picture or two on your website would be worth a thousand words!
