medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture

>>> Google Maps shows that the Streetview car did not drive any of the
streets around the Bishop's Palace.
>> probably because that part of the cloister has been interdited to voitures
for some time now.
> Darn, my theory was that Notre Dame had intervened to keep her property from
desecration by Mountain View's satanic minions. Another perfectly good
theory scuppered by pesky facts.
no, i believe that Our Lady doesn't carry nearly as much water in that town as
she did en ces temps la'.
the M.V.S.M.s could get just about anything they wanted, provided that they
paid for it.
the Cover Story on the closing off of the north close is that the voiture
traffic in that rather confined space was bad for the statuary --if you
believe *that*, i've got a bridge for sale in my back yard that goes all the
way to Brooklyn for you (not on google.maps, yet, however).
>> just how did you come across this interesting Factoid?
> Google Maps will put blue borders around the streets that have Streetview
coverage. You see this as soon as you start to drag "pegman" onto the map.
there's got to be a Special Place in Hell for the guy who thought up that
"pegman" feature --my luck with him is approaching Zero.
maybe i'm just not the Pegman Type.
