The project I am working on (The British Steel Archive Project) is finishing in December 2010.
I am compiling our workshops and activities into a school resource pack to be made available after the project has finished. I want to highlight curriculum links to make it appealing to teachers and easier to fit into their lessons. However, as we all know there is likely to be changes in the curriculum but these will not be known in time for me to develop the pack.
So I wondered if anyone had any thoughts or suggestions on the best way of approaching this. My current thinking is to include links with the current curriculum, but try and anticipate key skill areas that are likely to be included in any new curricula and state these as well. So things like team working, investigative and research skills but are these too vague to be useful?
The pack is going to be aimed mainly at Key Stage 2, will be cross-curricular but with strong elements of science/engineering and history.
Any advice/input greatly appreciated.
