A man is cursing God in narrow space.
He’s being funny yet no one is laughing.
There is no willing audience nearby.
His anger is honing, bruising one’s hope.
Close to, a thin man looks as though he needs
the toilet. His hair is lank and greasy.
Light hits him, shining a dulling distress.
The tight face hide could well be sticky.
Two loud fools yell and laugh into their phones:
One doing sex, and one net sales and costs.
Neither has any new or good ideas.
They say what one expects of dullard youth
learning to demonstrate its adulthood,
an odd opposite of unruly ranting.
