Exhaustive information on the history and construction of pinhole cameras :

You can also make a useful pinhole camera with an SLR camera. Drill a small
hole (about 1mm) in a spare lens cap. Remove the lens from the camera and
fit the cap with the hole. Mount on a tripod, set the exposure to manual,
and experiment until you get the right exposure time. It's likely to be
several seconds.
Image quality is highly dependent on the circularity of the pinhole. If
you're making the hole yourself, and not buying in etched pinholes, I'd
recommend using a 1mm drill mounted in a drill press set to high speed. Use
a larger drill or fine sandpaper to remove any burrs from the edges of the
hole.

Subject: Pin Hole Cameras and Victorian hair styling
Any one know how to make pin hole cameras? We are having a Victorian
event and want to incorporate these as a children's activity.
Also, a slightly odd request but does anybody know where I can find
someone who does victorian hair styling - thought it might be a good
idea if visitor could come and have their hair done up like a Victorian.
Would need to be in the Midlands area.
Thanks
