Dear All
I apologise for sending this to everyone, as I know how precious your time is.
I am currently planning and writing a resource for GEM and LOtC to be hosted on the LOtC website. It will be aimed at secondary school teachers and its purpose is to help teachers make the most of learning through heritage, with the focus on libraries and archives. The brief requires that the resource includes:
* examples of guided and self-guided learning
* examples of practice for each key stage and subject area at secondary level (11-19 yr olds)
* short examples or case studies
* web links and lists of further resources
If anyone feels they can help me by providing a link to the secondary education provision they have created or can offer me examples of good practice to include in the resource, please can they get in contact as soon as possible. If would be an excellent way of promoting the hard work you've done or are doing in your library/archive and would help me fully explain to teachers the range of resource material and stimuli for learning that exists outside the classroom. I come from an education background (secondary school teacher and Head of Dept) but have only recently joined The History of Advertising Trust Archive as their Learning and Access Development Co-ordinator. Help on any of the above or any issues arising from creating such a resource would be really useful.
Thanks in advance!
