Luton Our Story Community Arts Photographer
Luton Cultural Services Trust is looking to employ an experienced community
artist within the discipline of photography to project manage the Luton Our
Story Project. This project aims to bring diverse communities from across
Luton together to explore their lives, cultures and heritage through the
medium of photography. The culmination of the project will be a touring
exhibition. We are looking for a community artist with a track record of
working with diverse communities, the ability to train people in digital
photography skills, exhibition and interpretation skills along with the ability to
evaluate projects and produce project reports.
The project will aim to work with twenty community groups and the exhibition
will need to be completed and launched by 31st March 2010. The consultancy
fee will be £9600 (48 days work @ £200 per day). This fee is inclusive of VAT
and includes all travel and subsistence expenses.
Applications from appropriate organisations are welcome. The deadline for
applications is Monday 19th October.
