Dear all
I am co-ordinating an HLF-funded refurbishment and representation of
Hogarth's House in Chiswick. This project includes a two-year post to
embed the work of the House in the local community. The advert (which is
attached) has unfortunately only been placed in the Local Government
Chronicle.
While not strictly a museum education post, there may be GEM members who
would be interested or who know others who might be suitable applicants.
It is a potentially wonderful post to get your teeth into, and there is
a strong band of supporters - artists, curators, historians and
community developers - to work with. The new approach to presenting the
House is not purely art historical - indeed it seeks to show the story
of the House and all of its occupants over 300 years, and will provide
visitors with real surprises.
