COMMUNICATING CHANGE: Weaving the Web into the Future
7th Annual Conference of the Graduate School of Arts and Humanities
University of Glasgow * 8 10 June 2009
CALL FOR PAPERS
Communicating Change is a three-day Postgraduate conference that
challenges us to explore the notion of change within individual
disciplines and across the interdisciplinary fields of Arts and
Humanities as a whole. In a world that is increasingly characterised
by interactions between varied, rich, and sometimes conflicting
traditions of thought and practice we are faced with a number of
questions. How is change understood within our own disciplines? What
factors inhibit or promote change? Is the idea of continuing change
an inevitable evil or a liberating shift? And how do we communicate
these movements and interactions within our own work?
We invite short papers on a range of subjects and interdisciplinary
approaches that explore and interpret the idea of change in scholarly
studies. Please note that presentation time shall not exceed twenty
minutes. Abstracts should be a maximum of 200 words in length, and
should be submitted in English with the speaker's name, institutional
affiliation and title of the paper. Please note that juried
proceedings shall be published from this conference.
