NHTV Breda University of Applied Sciences is an independent, unique
international higher education institution, specializing in the
disciplines of Digital Entertainment, Hotel & Facility, Leisure &
Tourism and Urban Development, Logistics & Mobility.

centre for education, research and knowledge. It is in this capacity
that the institute is committed to making a contribution to our
globalizing society by training young people to become responsible
professionals - in conjunction with the international industries.
Furthermore, the institute aims to create a stimulating workplace for
both students and staff, so as to enable them to integrate knowledge
and skills, to develop their talents to the fullest and apply these to
society in a professional and responsible manner.

The Academy for Digital Entertainment of NHTV University for Applied
Sciences in Breda (The Netherlands) offers bachelor programs in ‘Game
Architecture & Design' (GA&D) and ‘Media & Entertainment Management'
(M&EM). The GA&D program has a 3D Programming, a 3D Art and an At &
Technology for Next Generation Entertainment specialisation. The M&EM
has specialisations in Media & Entertainment Marketing and Media &
Entertainment Production. A Master program in Media Innovation is
being developed at the moment.

All our programs scored first in the national ranking 2009, because of
the vocational approach and the quality and experience of the staff.
Working at NHTV is like working in the entertainment industry, but
without the pressure of production deadlines. The staff of the academy
is recruited from all over the world (f.i. US, UK, Australia, Italy,
Belgium, the Netherlands) and all courses are taught in English.

Due to an increase of student numbers the Academy for Digital
Entertainment (currently 800 students and 60 staff members) is looking
for a:

LECTURER IN INTERACTIVE MARKETING / MARKETING RESEARCH (1,0 fte)

Job profile
You are responsible for the development and implementation of course
material in the field mentioned above. You will be delivering lectures
and workshops to students and you will be coaching and supervising
students in the ‘mADE Production House' (our in-house media production
company), during internships and in graduation projects. Also, you
will be participating in (research) projects, induced by the media
industry.

Candidate profile
You hold a Master degree or PhD in a relevant field of knowledge or a
Bachelor degree and the willingness to get a Master degree. You are
able to show us both your recent (international) experience in the
entertainment industry and in the development of digital
entertainment. You have obtained both teaching experience in higher
professional education as experience with practical skill-based
teaching. If needed you are willing to follow training in didactical
skills. It goes without saying that you have excellent communication
skills in English, both in speech and in writing.

international entertainment development team in the country. We have

working with a selective group of enthusiastic and motivated lecturers
and students. You have the possibility to work on your own projects
(together with students) and you can improve yourself by following
Master or PhD programs. If you have a PhD, research facilities are
available.

Salary & Benefits
NHTV University of Applied Sciences Breda offers organisation and
facilities for costs of relocation and settling-in in the Netherlands.
Dutch Tax authorities may offer tax reduction to applicants from
abroad. The salary for this position will be at level 11 of the
CAO-HBO (Collective Labour Agreement), earning a monthly maximum of €
4.203,83 gross (full-time). As of 2009 you will have a fixed annual
benefit of 8,3%. Apart from this, NHTV University of Applied Sciences
offers you an 8% holiday allowance, a compensation for your Health
Insurance and several compensations for sports activities.
