Dear Colleagues
The NIHR Collaboration for Leadership in Applied Health Research and
Care (CLAHRC) for South Yorkshire is a partnership of NHS
Trusts, Sheffield Hallam University and the University of Sheffield that
will carry out high quality applied NHS research and ensure
that it is implemented to enhance patient benefit in the NHS. Our work
is focussed specifically on implementing evidence to benefit
patients with long-term conditions. Over five years the CLAHRC team will
work with the NHS across South Yorkshire to support staff
and patients to enable change.
We are seeking to appoint two enthusiastic individuals as Knowledge
Translation Project Leads who will work with healthcare staff
from a variety of levels and range of professions, as well as the
universities, to develop and improve services for patients in a
complex and challenging environment. Working with a dedicated
implementation team and academic partners at the universities, the
appointees will be responsible for leading specific knowledge
translation projects. This will include implementing and evaluating
projects to facilitate the uptake of research findings in practice, and
supporting performance improvement within the area of
implementation in collaboration with others.
