Dear members of GEM,
My name is Tseliou Maria-Anna and I am a postgraduate student in the
department of Museum Studies in the University of Leicester.
I was supposed to do a dissertation about the New Walk Museum and the
primary schools of Leicester,a kind of evaluation using as a measure the
achievement or not of GLOs and whether the schools' use of the museum is
enough by schools from deprived and non-deprived areas(deprivation as for
the education,not as for economic reasons).
However,I find some difficulties in getting the information I would like
to have,from 2 teachers(one from a school in a deprived area and one from
a non-deprived area) as well as from a couple of children from the
relevant schools that visited New Walk Museum.
The reason of writing this e-mail is to ask you whether you could suggest
me anything that may be proved helpful in order to write a dissertation
aroung the museum-school partnership,as it seems that I may not be able to
do the research I was planning to do...
Any suggestions and pieces of advices are more than welcomed!
