WNorth Lanarkshire Council are in the process of sending out Invitations to
Tender to interested parties with regard to an evaluation of the 'Museum
Resources for Social Integration' project. Brief details of the project are
included below.

submission requirements. The deadline for written tenders is 6th May.
Museum Resources for Social Integration is a North Lanarkshire Council led
museums project in partnership with South Lanarkshire Council Museums
Service and the David Livingstone Centre (National Trust for Scotland).
The project is funded by the Scottish Executive through the Scottish
Museums Council as part of the Regional Development Challenge Fund (RDCF).
The aim of the RDCF is to develop the capacity and sustainability of the
museum sector through active partnerships. This funding is giving
Lanarkshireˇ¦s museums the opportunity to work together creatively to bring
a range of benefits to new and existing audiences.
The central aim of the project is to enable Lanarkshireˇ¦s museums to make a
more sustainable contribution to the well-being of the local community. In
order to achieve this fully, the project is working to ensure that the
museums are engaging with a broad spectrum of society by developing and
delivering appropriate services as identified through community
consultation. These services include interpretative resources, interactive
activities and an informed, friendly and confident workforce.
Objectives
„h To research and produce an evaluation report of the Museum Resources for
Social Integration project.
Aims
„h To explore the overall approach taken to achieve the RDCF objectives as
defined by the Scottish Museums Council.
„h To explore the overall approach taken to achieve the aims and objectives
of the project as outlined in the original submitted business plan.
„h To evaluate the success of the outcomes and outputs achieved by the
project as a result of the undertaken approach.
„h To identify, define and explore areas within the project that offer
outcome sustainability, and suggest future work to improve the
sustainability of and complement the outcomes.
