Dear all
The Royal College of Surgeons has installed a display screen in its foyer to provide information to all visitors to the building (including those going to the Hunterian Museum). The screen is located about 2 metres high on a wall facing the main entrance and is pitched at an angle. The screen is approximately 1.5 metres wide and a metre high.
They have asked for advice on the following aspects of the content and function of the screen in order to ensure it can be read by as many visitors as possible, including those with visual impairments
What delay there should be between movement from one screen to the next
How quickly (if at all) the text should scroll across the screen and
The recommended font size style in proportion to the size of the screen
I would be grateful of any input you may have before I make my recommendations to them.
Many thanks
Jane
