The Natural History Museum is one of the world’s leading museums,
internationally recognised for its dual role as a centre of excellence in
scientific research and as a leader in the presentation of natural
sciences through public engagement.
The Department for Learning currently has an exciting opportunity for a
Learning Operations Manager to manage the face-to-face learning team and
its output which is the delivery of a vibrant, high quality, and diverse
learning offer for Museum visitors. This is a varied role with
responsibility for planning and managing the day to day operations and
handling the considerable exchange of information between face-to-face
staff and the Museum to keep operations running smoothly and efficiently.
The Museum has the potential to be a global leader in face-to-face Museum
learning and this position is fundamental to achieving this goal.
To be successful you must have first class communication skills with the
ability to influence and motivate a team. Previous experience of
managing, developing and scheduling staff and working in a customer
service environment is essential, as is a working knowledge of
informal/formal education, health and safety, access issues including the
Disability Discrimination Act and cultural awareness.
