Speaking of "as it is generally believed", it's perhaps worth pointing out that the Abdinghof Portable Altar, though attributed to Roger of Helmarshausen, is not signed by him. The portable altar in Paderborn that definitely is his is the Kilian-and-Liborius altar from the cathedral. For views of these two altars, see:
